1 c Sugar
1/2 c Water

2 T Rum Extract or 1/4 c Dark Rum
Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar and water to boil and boil one minute. Cool a few minutes and add rum extract or rum.
Spoon over Rum Cake while cake is still hot.
Let cool in pan.
Remove and store in sealed container.

Bake a day before serving so the rum will penetrate cake.

Will freeze well.
