2 cups warm water
3 pkgs yeast
2 cups milk, scalded
1/3 cup molasses
3 tsp corn syrup
1/3 cup shortening
1 tbsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups rye flour
white flour (6-7 cups)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine yeast and water, let stand. Combined cooled milk with molasses, corn syrup, shortening, salt and brown sugar. Add to yeast mixture. Beat in rye flour and stir in white flour until dough stiff enough to knead is formed: knead on a floured board 12 to 15 times. Place in well greased bowl, let rise until double about 1 1/2-2 hours. Work down and let rise about 45 minutes. Shape into loaves and put in well greased pans, let rise 30-40. Makes 3-4 loaves. Bake at 375º for 40 minutes.
