1 onion
1/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup flour
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups half and half
1 lb. good crabmeat
2 Tblsp. ketchup
2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
fresh ground pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in olive oil. Add flour. Stir to make a roux. Mixture will be thick. Add chicken broth and whisk lumps out. Add rest of ingredients. Cook until thick. Serve with a good bread.

You can sprinkle a pinch of Old Bay on the soup in the serving dish to make it look fabulous. Don't skimp on the crab. Momma Kat.
