Put in large bowl:
3 cups milk
1 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
¾ cup melted butter & shortening
3 cups hot water
nutmeg
1 beaten egg

Topping:
4 cups brown sugar
1 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
In ½ cup lukewarm water dissolve: 1 teaspoon sugar, 1-1/2 package yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes. In bowl add 1 cup flour at a time. Beat with egg beater. After 3 or 4 cups flour, add yeast. Add 9 to 10 cups more flour.


After cakes have risen, pour melted butter over. Add brown sugar and flour mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon. After baking dribble heavy cream over top. Bake at 325° about 20 minutes.
