2 sticks of butter
1 1/2 c Sugar
1T vanilla
2 eggs
3 C. Flour
1/4 t. Baking powder
1/4 t Baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and the sugar together, then add the vanilla and the eggs one at time

Mix the flour and the baking powder and soda and add gradually to the creamed mixture.

Chill for about 30 minutes and them roll to 1/4 inch cut cookies with your favorite cookies cutters for the season

Bake at 375º for8-10 minutes

This recipe calls for oleo but we make them with butter because we think oleo has changed since Mom baked
