2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped nuts

FROSTING:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. icing sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, salt, crushed pineapple (with liquid from can) and nuts. Mix well to blend. Pour into a greased 9x13" pan.
2. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean and the top is golden. Cool for about 40 minutes before icing.
3. To make the frosting: Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla. Gradually add icing sugar until creamy. (Works well in counter top mixer.) Spread on warm cake.
