1/2 c Crisco Shortening
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs, well beaten
2 tbsp Milk
2 c Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Crisco, salt, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Then add sugar gradually, cream well. Add eggs and milk, mix well. Add flour, baking powder and baking soda to creamed mixture. Drop by spoon onto baking sheet, flatten with a glass covered with a damp cloth. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake @ 375 for 8-12 minutes.
