1 C Salted butter, softened
2 C Packed Dark brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1½ C flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 C old fashioned oats

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350°

In a large mixing bowl beat together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, scraping the bowl after each one.

Mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl. Add it into the creamed mixture in 2 to 3 batches, mixing it until just combined. Mix in oats until just combined.

Use a scoop or spoon to drop portions of dough onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Space them a couple inches apart. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until dark and chewy. If you like them crisper, cook them longer.

Let them cool slightly on the pan before transferring them to a cooling rack.

*Note; Add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts to the flour mixture if you like a nutty flavor and crunch
