Ingredients:
Ingredients:
•1 onion, chopped finely
•1 tbsp salted butter
•2 cups biscuit mix (Bisquik)
•3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (I used medium, but old cheddar would give you a stronger flavour)
•1/2 tsp course black pepper
•1/2 cup milk (I used 2%)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees fahrenheit (230 degrees celsius).

Microwave the onion and butter for approximately 2-3 minutes, or until the onion is soft and almost transparent.

Stir in biscuit mix, cheese and pepper and mix well.

Add in milk and mix just enough to make a soft dough.

On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough until everything is well combined then roll out into a large circle. Your dough should be about 1/2″ or 1cm thick.

Use a pizza cutter or knife and slice into 8 portions.

Place slices on a non-stick cookie sheet and bake at 450 degrees fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned.

These cheese & onion scones are best served warm.
