Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb White Navy Beans
1 piece Salt Pork
1 Onion
1/2 C dark Brown Sugar
1/2 C Molasses
1 tsp mustard

Optional Additions
cooked chopped bacon
sliced sausage links

Directions:
Directions:
SOAK beans overnight in a large pot of water.

In the morning, drain and rinse beans. Put them back in the pot and cover with water. Boil gently for about 20 minutes or until the skin peels back when you blow on a spoonful of beans. Place beans in either a crock pot of bean pot for the oven. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend. You can use some of the hot water from boiling and add the sugar and molasses to that to get them out of measuring cups easier. Add enough water to just cover the beans. Takes about 6 hours in crock pot or in oven at 325 Check to see that there is always some liquid in them.

Personal Notes:
I prefer beans baked in a bean pot in the oven. It is a long time to cook though so it will probably heat up your kitchen.
