6 T unsalted butter
2/3 c heavy whipping cream
1 c fresh grated parmesan cheese
dash each of white pepper, salt (if needed), and nutmeg
1 lb fettuccine

Cook pasta according to package directions.
In large skillet add butter and cream.
On med to med-high heat melt butter, stirring frequently so cream and butter do not separate.
Bring to a simmer and add seasonings except salt.
Remove from heat and slowly stir in cheese.
At this time if salt is needed, add.
Place drained pasta in skillet with sauce and toss.
Garnish with extra cheese if desired.

This is the sauce I made for my mom, Aunt Dee and Aunt Coleen on one of their birthday weekends. This is also one of Morgan's favorites. I add grilled chicken or cooked veggies to make a primavera type alfredo.
