1/4 c Onion, Chopped
2 tsp. Margarine
1/4 c Carrot, Grated
1/4 c Cabbage, shredded
1 c Water
1 tsp Beef soup base
1 small Potato, Chopped
1/2 c Beets, diced
1/4 c Tomato juice
f.g. Dill
f.g. Salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a pot, saute onion in margarine until golden brown
2. Add carrot and cabbage, stir.
3 Add water, beef soup base, potato and beets. Simmer until vegetables are tender.
4. Add tomato juice and spices. Simmer for 10 minutes
