2 sticks butter or margarine
1 cup water
4 tablespoons cocoa
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoons salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream or buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water and butter to a boil. Add cocoa. Pour into large bowl. Cool slightly. Add flour and sugar. Mix. Add salt, beaten eggs. Mix. Add baking powder to sour cream. Add to mixture with vanilla. Pour into pan which has been greased and floured (can use cocoa powder).
9 x 13 pan for 25 to 35 minutes. Test to see if done. Ice while still warn.

Icing
1 stick butter, 6 tablespoons milk,4 tablespoons cocoa powder,1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix. Add 1 pound powdered sugar. Beat until smooth. Add pecans if desired.
