2-3 pounds venison, cut in serving sizes(or chuck steak, or any less-tender beef cut like shoulder roast or even pork fajitas)
1 can cream of celery soup (can substitute cream of mushroom soup)
1/2 can water
Salt and pepper to taste
(You can add some chopped onions if you're adventurous!)

Salt and pepper the meat, then brown in skillet. (Using a cast iron skillet is best, but if you don’t have one, fry the meat and then transfer to the heaviest pan you have.)

Mix the soup with ½ can of water. Pour over meat and seal tightly with foil.

Cook 2 hours at 350 degrees.

DON’T OPEN UNTIL THE 2 HOURS ARE UP. Remove from oven and let set 3-5 minutes before serving.

From Doris: With five kids and lots of wildlife nearby, we ate a fair amount of venison when I was growing up. I'm not a big fan of venison in general, but THIS is delicious. The gravy that forms is the best part!
