2 2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup light karo
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar, karo, and water over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Cook until mixture forms a hard ball in cold water (or hard ball on candy thermometer). Beat in egg whites until stiff peaks forms. Continue heating while pouring hot syrup egg whites. Add vanilla. Beat until mixture holds its shape and becomes dull. Fold in nuts. Drop mixture from tip of buttered spoon onto waxed paper.
