1 c. salad oil
1 1/2c firmly packed brown sugar
4 eggs
1 c. pineapple juice
3 c. flour
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped dates
2 tsp. salt
3 c. chopped walnuts
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 large mixed fruits
2 tp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 small red candied cherries
1 small green candied cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Combine oil, sugar and eggs. Beat with mixer for 2 minutes
Sift 2 cups flour with salt and spices
Stir into oil mixture alternating with pineapple juice. Mix in rest of flour with fruit and nuts.
Pour batter over this mixture blending well.
Turn into well oiled pan. Set pan of water on lower oven rack.
Bake very slowly at 275º for 21/2 to 3 hours.
Let stand 15 minutes before removing from pan
Cool wrap in foil and store in refrigerator.
