2 (.25oz) pks. active dry yeast
1 c. warm water
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. water
Coarse salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Stir yeast in lg. bowl in 1 cup warm water
Beat in flour, sugar and salt to form dough
Turn onto floured surface
Knead 5 minutes and place in a greased bowl.
Let rise in a warm place until doubled (at least 2 hr.)
Punch down enough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
roll each piece into 18-20" rope.
Preheat oven 400 degrees
Form pretzel. Dip using flat spatula or lg. slotted spoon in boiling water with 1 tbsp. baking soda got 30 seconds.
Lift out and place on baking sheet. Brush egg yolk and sprinkle course salt to taste. Bake until brown 15 minutes
