Grandma Wright loved Christmas. She wanted to have gifts for everyone. She would bring bowls & dish towels back from KY for the women. She made trays of divinity & peanut brittle to give away. The granddaughters received dolls & handmade doll clothes. But what do you get 9 grandsons? One Christmas we were taking turns opening presents. The first grandson opened his present, a nice red hat. The second & third grandsons opened their presents, nice red hats. Grandson 4-9 sensed a pattern. That was designated The Red Hat year!~Susan
