Ingredients:
1 batch prepared Phyllo Dough

For filling:
1 c chopped nuts
cinnamon and sugar to taste

For syrup:
1/2 c sugar
1 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine filling ingredients and sprinkle evenly over prepared dough (see Phyllo Dough recipe), fold to fit pan (15 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 2"). Cut into diamond shaped pieces and bake 15 - 20 minutes at 375º until brown. To check for doneness, lift bottom with spatula to make sure it's browned on the bottom. Mix sugar and water together in a sauce pan, bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes. Pour over the top of the baked pastry. This is best if left overnight covered in foil for the syrup to soak in. This recipe keeps well and can be left in the pan.
