1 cup salt
1 peck green tomatoes, sliced
12 large onions, sliced
1 qt. vinegar
1/2 pt. horseradish
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 sweet red peppers, chopped
1 T turmeric
2 1/2 lb. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put salt over tomatoes and onions and let stand over night. Drain well, put through food chopper, add vinegar and cook. Drain well.

Stir sugar and turmeric, horseradish, cloves and cinnamon together and add enough cold vinegar to make a paste. Bring to a boil and add onions and tomatoes. Let boil up well and can.
