1 cup of light brown sugar
1 1/2 cup butter softened
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup canned pumpkin
3/4 cup pecans, finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar and the butter together till they are light and creamy. Add the eggs slowly, taking care to mix well. Sift together the flour, soda, powder and spices. Gradually add this to the egg mixture. Add the buttermilk and blend well. Blend in the pumpkin and pecans. When batter is well mixed pour into a well greased 9X13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Refrigerate until ready to serve or at least 1 hour. Cut in squares and top with whipped cream.
