1 pkg Devil’s Food cake mix (without pudding)
8 oz. Cream cheese (room temp)
2/3 c. Brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. Whipped cream - whipped (or 8 oz. Cool whip)
Chocolate shavings for garnish

Directions:
Mix and bake Devil's Food cake (or choc. Cake of your preference) in two 9" round pans as directed on the box. Cool for 15 min. and remove from the pans, and cool completely on wire racks. In mixing bowl combine the cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt – beat until fluffy. Fold in whipping cream. Split each cake into halves. Place one on a plate and spread ¼ of the cream mixture on the cake, sprinkle with choc. Shavings (approx. ½ tbsp.). Repeat this with each layer. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Makes 12 servings.
