2 cups Chopped Dates
1 T. Soda
1 cup Boiling Water
1 T. Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Flour
1 beaten Egg
1/2 cup chopped Nuts
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle soda on dates, add boiling water and butter. Let cool. Add sugar, flour, beaten egg, chopped nuts, and vanilla. Mix well. Put in pan and bake slowly at 250º oven for 1 hour
