2 cup brown sugar
2 cup raisins
1 cup lard (shortening)
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
3 1/2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the first 7 ingredients together for two minutes in 2 cups of boiling water and let cool. Add soda in 2 T of water and then add flour and mix together. Combine the two sets of ingredients and pour into pan. Bake 1 hour at 350º
