Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups flour
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups Twix or Twix unwrapped bites, diced small and loosely piled
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and beat on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt and mix until just combined, about 1 minute. Add the Twix and chocolate chips; fold in by hand. Using a medium 2-inch cookie scoop, form heaping mounds. Place mounds on a large plate, then flatten slightly with your palm, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 5 days before baking. Note: Do not bake with warm dough, the cookies will spread and bake thinner and flatter. On parchment-lined cookie sheets, place chilled cookie mounds, spaced at least 2 inches apart. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 8 to 9 minutes or until edges have set and tops are just beginning to set. Even if slightly undercooked, they should be pale and glossy in the center. Do not bake longer than 10 minutes as cookies will firm up as they cool. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing them.

Personal Notes:
Mary found this recipe on Pinterest. It looked amazing and received great reviews from everyone who made them. Since she loved Twix bars, she tried the recipe. It was so good that the whole batch disappeared in one day. She made them again the next week and they also disappeared. I think people were taking the cookies and hiding them in a safe place for later consumption. Hmm...that pretty much sums up my family when they really like something!
