6 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3/4 tsp. anise oil
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. molasses
1/3 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 6 ingredients. Cream together sugar, butter. Add anise oil and eggs. Combine sugar, molasses, and water. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Chill until firm enough to roll. Roll into long rolls about 1/2" thick or whatever size you want. Cut into 1/2" pieces or the size you prefer. Bake cut side down on a greased cookie sheet at 350º for 8 minutes. Store in jar or ziplock bag. Yields bout 4 quarts.
