1/2 cup maple syrup
3 T butter
1 beaten egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 T milk
1 cup flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and add maple syrup; beaten egg and milk. Sift baking soda, flour and cream of tartar into maple mixture and mix thoroughly. Add chopped nuts. Drop onto a greased cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 400º oven for 10 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
