1 cup (6 oz.) Semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup cola beverage (Coke)
3 T light corn syrup
1/4 cup light or dark rum
2 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 cup nuts (finely chopped)

Melt chips in double boiler over hot water. Remove from heat, blend in cola, syrup and rum; stir in crumbs, sugar and nuts. Mixture will be sticky stiff. Cover and chill 2 hours. Form into balls and roll in granulated or confectioners' sugar. Place in single layer on waxed paper - cover loosely. Chill overnight to mellow flavor. Leaving the whole mixture overnight before making into balls works easier.
