8 Apples - shredded/cut up
3/4 cup water
1 tsp. vitamin C crystals
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apples, water and vitamin C in large pot and simmer until tender and slightly thickened (about 30 minutes). Add sugar, cinnamon and salt. If canning, fill jars while sauce is hot.
