Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 bunch of fresh asparagus
1 tablespoon olive oil (or a generous drizzle)
freshly shredded Parmesan cheese (optional - it's good with or without)
kosher salt
freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Wash asparagus spears and trim off the woody bottom ends. Spread evenly over a rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with oil and top with salt and pepper. Toss with hands until all spears are well coated. Place in oven for 8-15 minutes (depending on asparagus thickness). Remove when almost done and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (if you want) and return to oven. When asparagus has turned a very bright shade of green and is fork tender, it's done. You'll still want to have a bit of crunch and not be mushy. Serve immediately.
