1/4 lb beef cubes or cut up chicken
1 onion chopped
salt and pepper

Dough
2 c. flour
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbls shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Place first 4 ingred in big soup pot, cook until meat is tender.

Dough-work all ingreds together until crumbly. add 1/2 c. cold water, mix and work just enough to hold it together. Roll on floured table until thin. Cut into 2x2 squares. Drop squares into boiling beef or chicken broth. Cook with lid on for 20-30 min on medium until dough is tender. Serves 2
