1 egg
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. self rising flour
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
17 oz. can fruit cocktail
1/2 c nuts

Topping:
1 stick butter
2/3 cup canned milk (evaporated)
1 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 c nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Beat egg and sugar together. Sift dry ingredients. Add Dry ingredients, vanilla and drained fruit juice to egg mixture. Bake in 9 x 13 for 30-40 minutes.

Prepare topping: combine all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook on low heat for 12 minutes stirring constantly. Pour topping over cake while cake is still warm.
