Ingredients:
Ingredients:
This makes a 9x13 pan of dressing
1 lg pan of Cornbread
1 bag Seasoned Croutons
1 8 oz Cool Whip Container ea of chopped Onion and Celery
Salt
Pepper
Onion and Garlic Powder
Poultry Seasoning
Turkey Broth

Directions:
Directions:
Bake cornbread 1-2 days before so it can dry out some and crumble. Crumble cornbread add croutons and seasonings. Mix well. Add eggs stirring until eggs are incorporated. Pour turkey broth and mix until you have a light layer of broth that settles on top of mixture. This is the key to having moist dressing. You will have to "play" with how much to add depending on how moist you like it. Note: Mom sometimes added left over white rice and day old biscuits/rolls/bread if she had them.

Personal Notes:
For years we asked Mom to tell us how she made her dressing. Her response was "Oh I just add some of this and some of that". When asked how much onion and celery she used, she would say what ever I have in the fridge. So finally one year as the holiday's approached she told us she used a 16 oz Cool Whip container to measure the onion and celery. Now keep in mind that she was using the "Dressing" pan which is 11x15. She then reduced it to 8 oz for a 9x13 pan. So now I'm set to start making my dressing. Well I tried and tried for years and it was to dry, not seasoned just right or missing just that something. Many years later I was helping Mom mix the dressing and turned to get the dressing pan and when I turned back around Mom was dumping something else in the dressing and I asked wait what was that. She looked up all innocent eyed and said this? Oh it's poultry seasoning. After I picked my jaw up off the floor I asked her "well how long have you been adding that"? She looked at me and smiled and said I have always used it. That's when I knew I had it all. So next time I made "my dressing" and took it out for her to taste. She said that's it. So after almost 20 years I finally got it right. I hope you all have as much enjoyment making your as I did learning how to make Mom's.
