1/2 cup sour cream
2 egg whites
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Gotta love Germans mom says add enough flour to make a soft dough looking at some other recipes 3-6 cups flour. Mix all together and let sit while make the hamburger filling.



Filling: 2 pounds hamburger, 2 egg yolks , onions, salt and pepper to your taste and crackers crushed up. Make a meatloaf mixture may have to double this.

Roll out dough thin and cut into 4 inch squares. Add a scoop full of hamburger mixture from above and place on center of square. Fold dough over and pinch together tightly..Some people use a fork to crimp edges. Deep fat fry until golden brown.

Mom also pronounced as Chibric. Mrs. Bill Semmeler has in Hope Luthernan cookbook that Fleich Kiichlen is German name and Chipenek is Russian name. She spelled different also.
