1/2 cups sugar
1/2 shortening
1 cup boiling water
2 beaten eggs
2 packages yeast dissolved in one cup warm water not boiling
1Tablespoon salt
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar and shortening. Add the boiling water and keep mixing , then add 2 beaten eggs.
Dissolve the yeast and mix with the salt and the flour. Let rise for 1 hour shape rolls and let rise another hour
Bake in preheated 350º-375º oven for 15 minutes or lightly brown
Another one of those old recipes doesn't give oven temp moms recipe said hot oven.
