1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups flour
FILLING
1/2 cup water
1/2 pound dates
1/4 cup nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients to make cookie dough, flatten dough, cover with date mixture, roll and chill overnight. Slice & Bake @ 350 degree
Filling, Cook water, dates & nuts, cool.
