1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 molasses syrup
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/2 cups flour

FROSTING:
powder sugar
butter
vanilla
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar & shortening, mix in molasses and sour cream. Mix in medium bowl flour, soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Slowly add flour mixture to sugar mixture until completely blended. Bake at 350º for about 8-12 minutes.

Frost once cool using the powder sugar recipe.
