1/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 can (15 ounces) cut sweet potatoes, drained and mashed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons cornstarch
5 ounces evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs; stir.
Add sweet potatoes; mix well. Add cinnamon and cornstarch. Stir in milk, vanilla, and salt; mix thoroughly. Pour into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Lower heat to 350 degrees. Bake until knife comes out clean about 20-30 minutes.
