8 oz. cream cheese
4 c. powdered sugar (4x), divided
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 T. homogenized shortening
1/2 c. blueberry preserves

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in 3 to 3 1/2 c. of the sugar, vanilla, and salt. Spread between cake layers and on top of cake. Using the back of a spoon, make a spiral design on the top of the cake. In a second bowl, cream the shortening. Work in the remaining sugar and blueberry preserves. Decorate the spiral with the blueberry mixture.
