2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk, beaten
1 c. mashed banana (~2 large)
3/4 c. sour milk (milk + 1 1/2 T. lemon juice)
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 375º. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream Crisco until soft; gradually add sugar, beating constantly until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time to batter, beating well after each addition. In a third bowl, combine banana pulp, sour milk, and vanilla. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients, beginning and ending with dry ingredients, beating batter well after each addition. Pour batter into two greased 9 inch tube pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, and cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
