2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. xanthan gum
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs mixed (not beaten)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. oil
1 c. boiling water

FROSTING:
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1/8 c. Karo syrup
1/2 c. butter
3 oz. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix all together (do not beat)...it will be runny. Pour into 9"x13"x2" pan. Bake for 40 minutes.
FROSTING:
Begin frosting prep 5 minutes before cake is done. In a sauce pan, combine first four ingredients (sugar, milk, syrup, and butter) and bring to a boil or 2 minutes (time it!). Then add chips, nuts, and vanilla. Pour over hot cake right out of the oven.

This cake is the original version of the Chocolate Dump Cake but it didn't work so well at high altitude. If you are baking this at an altitude higher than 3500', I would recommend using the Chocolate Dump Cake (NEW & IMPROVED) version.
