1/3 c. (+) corn starch
2 cans beef broth (I like the french onion kind)
2 cans sliced mushrooms, drained (fresh can be substituted)
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. basil (+)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1-1/2 lbs. lean ground chuck
1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
3/4 tsp. seasoned salt

Directions:

Mix broth and corn starch until smooth. Stir in drained mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce and basil. Set aside.

Combine the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Pat meat mixture into a 13 x 9 baking dish. With a knife, cut the meat into equal portions. While baking the meat will separate into serving pieces. Pour broth mixture over meat. Cover and bake at 350º for 1/2 hour at 350º. Remove foil and bake another 1/2 hour. Great with mashed potatoes.
