1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 eggs
Salt & pepper
1+ tsp. sage
5 slices bread
2 cans tomato soup

Directions:
Directions:
Lay bread out so that it dries a little. Tear into small pieces.
Mix ground chuck, beaten eggs, salt, pepper, sage, bread pieces and 2 tbsp. undiluted tomato soup, then form into 1 large loaf or 2 small. Put in dutch oven or deep baking dish. Dilute the rest of the soup and pour over before baking.
Cover and bake at 350º for 1-1/2 hrs. Baste a few times while baking.
Uncover last 15 minutes.
(if you're pressed for time, the 2 loaves would probably only need 1 hr baking time).
