2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Add 1 tbsp. vinegar to 1 c. milk and let sit for 5 minutes, if making buttermilk from scratch. Melt butter and sugar in saucepan, stirring. Then, add buttermilk and bring to boil; let boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla, whisking until it foams. Great for pancakes.
