1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups milk with 2 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups apples, chopped (optional)

Cinnamon/sugar mixture;
2/3 cups sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream together butter, 2 cups sugar and eggs. Add milk, flour, and baking soda (and apples if desired.)

2. Put 1/2 of batter into 2 greased loaf pans (1/4 in each pan).

3. Mix in separate bowl the 2/3 cups sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle 3/4 of cinnamon mixture on top of the 1/2 batter in each pan.

4. Add remaining batter to pans; sprinkle with last of cinnamon topping (and walnuts if desired). Swirl with a knife.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick tester comes clean. Cool in pan for 20 minutes before removing from pan.
