1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla. Slowly add flour, salt, baking soda, and finally quick oats and nuts. Roll into wax paper and refrigerate (usually makes two rolls).

The next day, open the roll and slice the cookies into 1/2 inch thick slices. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
