1 cup oleo or butter
2 cup sugar
4 eggs (to be added 1 at a time)
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 1/2 cups flour
1 pound dates, chopped
1 pound candy orange slices
1 1/3 coconut

for the topping 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 cup orange juice

preheat oven on 350, spray Bundt pan, mix in everything into a bowl
bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours

make the topping and pour over while hot

small note- roll dates and candied orange slices in flour before adding them to mixture
