1 c. sugar
1/8 t. cream of tarter
dash of salt
1/4 c. water
2 egg whites
1 t. vanilla
2/3 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, cream of tarter, salt and water and cook to soft ball stage (about 240*). Beat egg whites until stiff. Add syrup slowly; beating. Add vanilla. Cool thoroughly. Cream butter well. Add egg white mixture a little at a time (about 3 T. each addition). Beat well.
