Ingredients:
5 CUPS WATER
1 LARGE GARLIC BULB SEPARATED INTO UNPEELED CLOVES
1 STALK CELERY, CHOPPED
1 CARROT (THIS IS FOR COLOR I DON'T LIKE CARROTS SO I DON'T USE EM.)
1 ONION CHOPPED
10 PEPPER CORNS
SOME PARSLEY (ABOUT A HAND FULL OR SO DON'T CHOP IT JUST THROW· IT IN THE POT)
SOME OIL TO GREASE THE PAN FOR THE SCOLLOPS
AS MANY SCALLOPS AS YOU CAN AFFORD,ABOUT A SMALL PACKAGE
FROM PATTI'S

Now remember this is a broth not a soup so you don't want to cut up all you veggies too small cause you're going to throw them all out anyway,
they're just for flavor!
Put everything but the scallops and the oil in a pot and bring it to a boil for a few minutes.
Reduce heat to about medium and let it simmer for about 45 minutes or so. Then strain out all your veggies and stuff, keep it warm!
To get the best results and to stretch out those scallops you just took out a loan to get you need to cut them in half.
Not down the middle stupid but from the side so they will look
like two scallops and not one that has been cut down the middle, get it?
Put some oil in a fry pan and sear the scallops slow on one side only until they are opaque/that's when you can't see through them any more). .
Put the scallops in a bowl (with the seared side up!!)
Spoon the broth over the scallops, garnish with some cilantro or whatever you got to make it purty and serve it up.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is guaranteed to warm the cockles (whatever the hell those are) of he/his heart and you might just get lucky if you keep you mouth shut long enough.

CAUTION; Make sure your guest, or guests, are not allergic to shell fish or you will be spending your Valentine's night in the emergency room.
