6 egg whites
1/2 t. cream of tarter
1/2 c. sugar
6 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
4 T. cocoa
4 T. flour
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites with cream of tarter until stiff; gradually beat in 1/2 c. sugar; set aside. Beat egg yolks and 1/2 c. sugar until thick and lemony. Sift in cocoa and flour; blend. Stir in vanilla. Carefully fold in egg white mixture. Spread in shallow jelly roll pan lined with well greased wax paper. Bake at 350* just until springs back when lightly touched. Immediately turn upside down onto towel sprinkled with conf. sugar. Remove paper and roll up into towel. Cool. Fill, reroll.
